Cricket in Malta
Malta is an Affiliate member of the International Cricket Council.
Since 1990, Malta Cricket have hosted more than 150 different touring teams.
Whether you are a First Division County League club or a Sunday social team, we have plenty of experience in organising the appropriate level of competition for you.
Truly one of Europe's finest cricket grounds, the oval is situated within the Marsa Sports Club. The Club also offers an 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, squash courts and an outdoor swimming pool.

Malta pride themselves as being the most popular among cricket destinations in the European circuit. The game is always played in a friendly and competitive spirit.
Whilst the T20 and 40 over formats are the most popular, 3-way T20 tournaments can also be catered for.
Many tours are booked well in advance so please confirm your fixtures prior to finalising your flights and hotel arrangements.
St. Julian’s is the preferred location due to its proximity to bars and restaurants. It is only a 10-15 minute drive to the Marsa Sports Club.
Cricket is played in the Maltese Islands all year round.
Peak periods are Mar / Apr (pre-season) and Sep / Oct (end-season).
Winter temperatures range between 16 and 20 Celsius and matches are rarely abandoned.
In summer (Jun to Aug), one can expect mild evening temperatures of 23-25 and daytime temperatures of 30-34. There is usually no rainfall in Summer.
Match Day Fees and Information
A Club memento and Player of the Match awards will be presented to all teams.
Lunch is provided to all coaches and participating players, umpires and scorers.
Other players, guests and partners can purchase food and refreshments from the bar.
There is a EUR 7 charge for use of the outdoor swimming pool.
Two qualified umpires from the Malta Association of Cricket Umpires will be appointed for your matches.
Please notify us in advance if you would like your club umpire to officiate.
Important Visa Information
European countries and Schengen passport holders will have no problem entering Malta.
Entry visa requirements apply for nationals from outside the EU and those persons are encouraged to contact their nearest Maltese Consulate well before the tour date.
